The second meeting of the University Archives and Records Management Advisory Committee (UARMAC) for the 2009 – 2010 academic year was held at the Cave Hill Campus. John Aarons attended as University Archivist and as the secretary of the Committee while Stanley Griffin attended by invitation. A highlight of the meeting was a presentation of a painting to Professor Emeritus Woodville Marshall, a founding member and the second chairman of the UARMAC as a token of appreciation for his outstanding contribution to the archives and records management programme. As all the records managers were present, the opportunity was taken to have a meeting to discuss matters relating to the Programme.
Mrs. Joan Grant-Rodney, Archives Administrative Secretary, journeyed to Washington DC where she engaged in a two-week intensive Archives Administration course at the prestigious Modern Archives Institute at the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
