2010 was an eventful year at the University Archives and we would like to review our year with you!
See below for previous months
The year ended on a positive note as ground was broken for the construction of the UWI Vice Chancellery Building, opposite the main entrance to the Mona Campus. When completed, the University Archives will finally get its permanent home (it has been in temporary accommodation since its establishment in 1997) as the facility will be housed in a section of the ground floor of the building. Archival standards and considerations were taken into account in the design and layout of the section so it should be one of the most up to date archival facilities in the region when completed. From its strategic location in the Vice Chancellery building, the Archives should be able to play a leading role in archival development in the region.
